Aachen
Aachen has a long tradition of science and research. RWTH Aachen University and the Aachen University of Applied Sciences are responsible for the education of more than 40,000 students, which means that the city is permeated with a young and exciting spirit, especially in the Pontstraße, the headquarters of IKV, and in the old town of Aachen. You, too, can experience this vibrant atmosphere. About 250,000 people live in the city of Aachen and more than a million live in the surrounding catchment area, the so called Euregio Maas Rhein, which contains parts of Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands.
Aachen is famous for the CHIO (World Equestrian Festival), its nightlife and the richly spiced ginger biscuits known as "Printen". This 2,000-year old city that was once the seat of Charlemagne has a lot to offer. A good example is Aachen Cathedral, which in 1978 became the first German cultural monument to be inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Aachen Cathedral and the Town Hall form the centre of the city.
Conference venue
The Eurogress in Aachen, located at the Monheimsallee, has been the perfect conference venue for the International IKV Plastics Technology Colloquium through the years.

Our recommendation would be the Pullmann Aachen Quellenhof, a four-star hotel located right next to the conference venue. There are several other hotels within a radius of 500 m.
We regret that the IKV can not make any bookings for the attendees at the Colloquium.
