About the Young Researcher Award
In 2009 the Young Researcher Award will be presented for the first time to research groups of the Cluster of Excellence "Integrative production technology for high-wage countries". The winning groups of researchers will be rewarded for their achievements in the field of integrative cooperation among scientists. The prize is worth 3,000 Euros. The presentation of the award will be made at the 25th International IKV Plastics Technology Colloquium in 2010.
The competing research teams comprise scientific assistants from the cluster. Each of the projects in the competition is closely related to the topic of the Cluster of Excellence and has to make an important contribution to fulfilling its agenda of research. An essential criterion for evaluation is the interdisciplinary character of a project.
The winner of the Young Researcher Award will be decided by the Steering Committee (SC) of the Cluster of Excellence.
