In 2010 we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the International IKV Plastics Technology Colloquium. Prior to 1966, the Colloquium was held every few years, but since then it has been staged regularly every two years.

The Institute of Plastics Processing at RWTH Aachen University was founded during the first Colloquium in 1950.

Consequently, there will be more than one reason to celebrate in 2010. The Colloquium was held for the 25th time and, in 2010 the IKV will be able to look back on a long and successful 60-year history. In all these years, the Colloquium has always been at the cutting edge. It is the birthplace of numerous innovations in the field of plastics processing and, with the motto for 2010 the tradition is destined to continue:
